The “Federation of Aggregates” (FdA) brings together companies and exploitations of aggregates from all the Autonomous Communities of Spain, and represents the interests of the aggregates sector in Spain, both nationally and internationally, and it’s constituted by ANEFA ( National Association of Aggregate Manufacturers), the Gremi d’Àrids of Catalonia, ARIGAL (Galician Association of Aggregates), Euskal Árido (Association of the Basque Country of Aggregates), and ARIVAL (Association of Aggregate Companies of the Valencian Community) , of which Infertosa is an active member.
This year, the FdA has held the 6th National Congress of Aggregates, an event to promote the continuous improvement of the sector and enhance its commitment to society, at the City of Oviedo Exhibition and Conference Center from 25 to 27 May 2022, with the honorary presidency of the House of H.M. King Felipe VI.
The main objectives of the Congress are to demonstrate to society the strategic importance of the aggregates production activity, promote the sustainability of the sector, show the latest advances and innovations and explain the need for aggregates and the importance of adopting measures to ensure sustainable access to resources. The Congress also serves as a platform to present the Strategic Plan for the Aggregates Sector – Aggregates 2030, as a framework to direct the sector towards sustainability leadership.
Its numerous technical sessions address all the strategic aspects of the industry, technical issues, production and product quality, the environment and in particular, biodiversity, climate change, circular economy, health and safety, image and communication, industry 4.0, as well as business and economic management. Likewise, the aggregates industry seeks to prepare for the expected economic reactivation and converge, sustainably, with Europe.
The Congress includes numerous side events, such as the delivery of the National Awards for Sustainable Development, among many others. Here we present some photos of this event, collecting the award during the VI National Congress of Aggregates in Oviedo.
